Newsweek says: The most affordable tickets in the nosebleeds are tagged at $6,609 on SeatGeek, but that’s just the entry

point; there are tickets selling for as high as $62,999. As of today (Jan 29) seats have reached $8,000+. This is true for all ticket vendors: Ticketmaster, Stub Hub, etc.

My friend was comped a lower level seat ticket from a Strip casino, with a face value of $10,000! Ticketmaster’s lowest price as of January is $8,000.

One strategy that I have used successfully for the World Series is to wait until kickoff/first pitch. Carrying around that much cash is rather problematic, so I will use Venmo or Zelle.

Flights aren’t cheap, either. A cross-section of round-trip flights from major cities like Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Houston averages $712.25. My round trip airfare is $269. My car rental for Feb 9-14 is $114, plus gas, thanks to a Marriott voucher.

A hotel stay in Las Vegas will also dent your wallet. For a three-night stay on the Strip, you’re looking at spending $2,826 (an average rate of the top 10 hotels on the strip

is $942 per night), though that figure does include resort fees. Prices are fluctuating, according to Tripadvisor, and some hotels on the strip are offering Super Bowl discounts. My hotel, for Friday to Monday, should I decide to use it will be $956. I may opt to stay with dear friends out in the suburbs.

Daily expenses, including food and local travel, should also be accounted for, averaging about $100 per day, so that’s $300 over your stay. Inside the domed Allegiant Stadium, a beer and a hot dog will set you back $10.99 and $2.99, respectively, according to its website. Let’s assume you have two each and don’t tip the vendor. That’s $27.96. Who knows what I will spend on food? But I am not gambling, nor attending a show or Super Bowl party. I may find a tailgate for Niner fans.

And if you’re hoping to bring home a Super Bowl LVIII jersey, add another $120 to your budget. Skip the jersey!

I think I bought a Niners Super Bowl cap in Nawlins, must have cost about $40.

Of course, a

30 second Super Bowl ad on TV will cost $7 million!!!
